Some of my greatest inspiration comes from stepping outside the studio. From wildlife encounters to connecting with people whose lives are very different from my own, travel gives me new stories to tell through my art.
That connection is at the heart of Adventure Artists International, which I co-founded with photographer Susan Richey. We bring artists, philanthropists, photographers, and curious people together through adventures that connect creativity with conservation, culture, and community.
It’s about more than bringing home beautiful photographs or ideas for your next painting. It’s about learning from the places we visit, respecting the people who welcome us, and considering how our creative work can give something back.
